Kelli Krause, Lead Teacher, St. Joe’s
Kelli began working at the preschool in 1997 after her boy/girl twins started first grade. She received her Child Development Associate Certification (CDA) through the National Council For Professional Recognition in 2001. It is her belief that her job is to provide an environment of security, an atmosphere of loving acceptance, and an opportunity for each student to grow and learn that is unique to them. Kelli enjoys the challenge of making school fun while helping each child realize self-confidence and independence. She loves her job at ABC Preschool!
Amy Lougheed, MWF Lead Teacher, Living Waters
Amy first joined ABC in 2023 when her youngest child, Cayden, attended preschool. She is thrilled to contribute to ABC as the Monday/Wednesday/Friday Teacher. Amy has a Bachelors of Arts degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood from The University of South Dakota. She had been a stay at home mom for the last 8 years but is looking forward to getting back into a classroom and connecting with children and their families. Amy, her husband Ryan, and two children, Jaxon and Cayden, have lived in Lino Lakes since 2021 with their two cats (Ollie and Chilly). Amy loves spending time outside with her family, doing needlework, musicals and cheering on the Timberwolves!
Karen DeBlieck, Assistant Teacher, St. Joe’s
Karen started teaching at ABC Preschool in 2013. She absolutely loves working alongside Kelli (Mrs. Krause) in all of the St. Joe's classes and truly loves her job. She has plenty of previous experience working with children as a former Sunday School Director, Youth Group leader, Girl Scout leader, sports team parent, and school volunteer just to name a few. Karen and her husband, Joe, have been married for 30 years. They have four children, Joe Jr., Brogan, Tatum, and Trevor (three of them are former ABC students). In her spare time, she enjoys having coffee with a friend, a great book, bible studies, knitting, musicals, vacations, and most of all, spending quality time with her hubby and kids.
Hannah Paddock, Lead Teacher T/Th, Living Waters
Hannah Paddock has been part of the ABC community as a parent since 2015 and is excited to be teaching the Tuesday/Thursday class at Living Waters. She loves working with children and helping them learn and grow. Before staying home with her boys, Hannah taught kindergarten and first grade for five years. She has a bachelor of science degree in education from the University of Northwestern. Hannah lives in Lino Lakes with her husband, Heath, and her three sons. She loves learning, spending time outside, going for long walks, reading, and spending quality time with her family.
Katie Weber, Assistant Teacher M-F, Living Waters
Katie Weber is a familiar face around ABC having been a substitute teacher and working at Living Waters. Katie is excited to be returning to her teaching roots. She started working with children in high school and did post secondary classes through Century Community college in their early childhood program. She spent several years as a toddler teacher and eventually became a child care center director. When her own kids came along she went to work part time for a law firm and then switched to working for the church. Her heart has been calling her back to classroom for the past several years and this feels like a dream come true! God’s timing is perfect!
Katie and her husband Michael live in Centerville. Michael is the Captain at Centennial Fire District Station 3 in Centerville and works for the City of Brooklyn Center as the Public Works Supervisor. They have two adult children: Griffin is serving in the Marine Corps. Addison is up in Duluth MN. They also have 3 rescue cats. When Katie is not working on a DIY project you can usually find her puttering in one of her perennial gardens, cleaning something or floating in her pool.
As a teacher, it is her belief that a child’s social and emotional well being is twice as important academics. Helping children learn how to move through their emotions and building strong and trusting relationships is key to helping them reach their full academic potential. Katie is so excited to form lasting relationships with the families!
